Sink Baskets at the NBA 75 All-Star Creative Hub are a set of newly dropped quests in Fortnite Creative Hub. Epic Games has partnered with the iconic sports association to glorify the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Season and NBA All-Star 2022. The event has brought some new skins to the game and you can even vote for your favorite NBA-themed Emote, which you would like to see in the game. Epic has even added a bunch of quests requiring you to sink baskets at the All-Star Hub, which when completed will reward you with XP and the High Hoops Spray. Here’s how you can sink baskets at the NBA 75 All-Star Creative Hub in Fortnite.

First, you will need to access the Fortnite NBA 75 All-Star Quests in the new Creative Hub and select the proper mode to join. Here’s how you can do this:

• Select ‘ Choose ‘ from the Fortnite lobby screen
• Scroll down to the ‘ By Epic ’ section
• Select ‘ Creative ’ and jump into a match

Joining a match will directly take you to the NBA-themed Creative Hub . Once inside, you can now start with sinking baskets. Below are all the Fortnite NBA All-Star 75 Quests and their respective rewards:

• Sink 9 Baskets at the NBA 75 All-Star Hub (18000 XP)
• Sink 9 Baskets at the NBA 75 All-Star Hub (High Hoops Spray)

Now, to complete the Fortnite NBA 75 All-Star Quests, simply head over to any rack of basketballs and pick one of them by interacting with them. Remember that you can only carry one basketball at any given time. Throwing a basketball is similar to throwing a grenade in Fortnite. All you need to do is aim at the hoop and throw the ball. However, you will need to time your throws and wait for the right moment as the throwing angle will keep changing. So accuracy is the key.

If the ball is tossed into the hoop correctly, the mark will turn green. Complete all the quests i.e.sink a total of 27 baskets and you will get the High Hoops Spray. It should be available when you return to the main Fortnite menu screen and can be equipped from there. The Fortnite NBA All-Star 75 will be live until 10 AM ET on February 23, 2022, so make sure to complete all the quests to get the Spray. The Hub also has photo booths and lounge areas to relax and spend some free time with your online friends.

Fortnite is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

To celebrate the NBA's 75th anniversary and NBA All-Star 2022, Fortnite players can access the NBA 75 All-Star Hub creative map created by team Atlas Creative. There's a new questline for players to complete with three stages. Essentially, players need to just sink baskets at the All-Star Hub , and they will eventually be rewarded with XP and the High Hoops Spray . The thing is, though, some Fortnite players are having issues with the game not registering the scored hoops. There is a fix that should help Fortnite players out, however.

If players head into Creative mode and enter the All-Star Hub through there, shooting baskets won't register on the quest info, but there's a quick fix to get it to work. Instead of going into the creative map that Epic Games recommends, players need to enter an Island Code in the Creative menu to be taken to an alternate version of the NBA 75 All-Star hub.

How to Fix Sink Baskets at the NBA 75 All-Star Hub Challenge

Head to the creative menu and then tab over to Island Code. Fortnite players should put this code into the box and go inside the Hub: 2165 - 0294 - 6080?v=3. There will be lots of different baskets to shoot balls into, and they should have a red mark below them. Once a ball is tossed into it correctly, the mark will turn green and players' progress towards the quest should now pop up on the screen. Sink a total of 27 baskets to unlock the High Hoops Spray . It should pop up once players return to the main Fortnite menu screen, and can be equipped from there.

The NBA 75 All-Star Hub is live until 10 AM ET on February 23, 2022, so players have about a week to wrap up the challenge and get the Spray. The Hub not only has basketball courts but there are also photo booths and lounge areas to chill with friends online.

Besides the new All-Star Hub, there's a new Fortnite v19.30 patch that adds some quality-of-life improvements like gyro and flick stick controls, similar to Breath of the Wild 's bow and arrow gyro controls.

Fortnite is available for PC, PS4, PS5, Switch, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.

Simply complete three stages of the “Sink Baskets” quests as you explore the hub. In doing so, you’ll be awarded with a bunch of bonus XP to help move that Battle Pass progress along, as well as, finally, the High Hoops Spray to show off in any mode.

Vote for the next Item Shop Emote

For the first time in Fortnite history, you can vote for the next Emote to appear in the Item Shop. To get your votes in, head into the All-Star Creative Hub before 7am PST/10am EST/3pm GMT on February 23rd, 2022. The vote screen is located on NBA Lane – just head out of the spawn location and turn left. From here, you’ll be able to choose from three iconic celebrations made famous by real members of the NBA 2022 All-Star Team. Players can vote up to five times every day between now and when voting closes.

The winning Emote will be announced on Twitter and Fortnite’s other social channels after February 23rd, and will later be available for purchase in the Item Shop.

The Gorky Park

Gorky Park opened in 1928 and was the first holiday park in the Soviet Union with playgrounds, a sports stadium, exhibition halls and attractions for kids. Today it has a fresh, vibrant appearance. The park features bike rental stations, a comfortable business area with Wi-Fi, an outdoor movie theatre and a greenhouse where you can buy fresh greens such as basil and lettuce. The park mostly consists of pristine forest, dotted with old summer pavilions, ponds and quaint little stone bridges. There are a lot of opportunities for different activities lots of children playground, a ping-pong and chess clubs, football fields and tennis courts, horse riding, tree climbing and having rest in one of the nice cafes.

Hermitage Garden has always been known as an amusement, entertainment center with theatres, shows, cafes, summer pavilions, pergolas since 1830. Sara Bernar, Maria Yermolova, outstanding actresses, played in the open air performances. Tolstoy and Lenin had a stroll in the garden. So lots of celebrities from different epoques liked it a lot and spent their time in Hermitage Garden. You can find here three theatres in the garden: Hermitage, Sphere and New Opera. During winter an ice rink works here and in summer a musical stage is assembled to host jazz and brass band festivals.

In Sokolniki Park visitors can play billiard, chess or draughts, table tennis, as well as go cycling, roller blading and swimming in the summer and ice skating or skiing in winter. Aptekarsky Ogorod (Apothecary Garden) is one of the oldest gardens in Moscow. It was founded in the XVIII century by Peter the First (great Russian emperor). A larch that he planted himself still grows in the garden, so it’s more than 250 years old. At the time of its foundation, it was a garden with herbs and medicinal plants and was used as an educational center for doctors. Today there are the orangery with its tropical palms, the carp pond, and the immense trees that dot the landscape and turn wonderful golden shades in the autumn. It covers 22 km from the west to the east and 10 km from the north to the south and it’s one of the most beautiful national parks in Moscow. Two rivers, Yausa and Pechorka begin here. You can find lots of fields, ponds, meadows, streams in the park as well as elks. Here you can enjoy guided tours, available in English. You can choose a guided tour about flora and fauna of the area, you’ll learn why elks are there, which animals are their neighbors. Or enjoy another excursion, which is totally devoted to historical past of ancient tribes once lived there, you’ll know about old Russian mythology, rituals and traditions.

Serebyany Bor (Silver Forest) is a famous pine forest in the west of Moscow. The park has 230 forms of plant life, and is also home to watersports complex, providing a lot of activities for visitors. The layout of Serebryany Bor is unusual, as it is located on an artificial island between a meander in the Moscow River and a channel. There is an artificial lake, the Deep Gulf and picturesque Bezdonnoe (Bottomless) Lake in the depths of the forest. Serebryany Bor’s beaches are the cleanest in the city and very popular among Muscovites. On weekends it is difficult to find a free spot here, especially because a whole range of services are offered to visitors, from simple deckchairs to catamaran and yacht rides. Driving is prohibited on the territory of the island so be ready to use trolleybus to reach the entrance.

Main Botanical Garden of The Russian Academy of Sciences is the largest and most famous is Moscow. The garden is a real museum of nature with a very rich (more than 18000 types) collection of plants. The park was founded in 1945 at the place of the 17th century Apothecaries’ Gardens. The garden’s collection is turned into botanical expositions, made with use of modern receptions of landscape architecture. Here you can see a tree nursery, a shadow garden, hothouse complex, collection of flowers, a rosary, exposition of coastal plants, garden of continuous blossoming, Japanese garden and expositions of cultural plants and natural flora plants. The biggest part of Garden is the Tree nursery occupying the space of 75 hectares. About 2 thousand wood plants grow here. Another big exposition of the Garden is nature Flora, divided into six botanic-geographical collections: European part of Russia, Caucuses, Central Asia, Siberia and Far East. Pride of the Main Botanical Garden is the collection of tropical, coastal and water plants, which is considered as the best in Europe. The Japanese garden, a great model of Japanese landscape gardening art has a 13-level stone pagoda of the 18th century, stone Japanese lamps, ponds, falls and streams, tea lodges and more than 100 species of the most character Japan plants. It is especially decorative in spring, during Oriental cherry blossoming and in fall, when foliage blazes in crimson colors.

Nowadays the estate has been restored to its former glory and is a good example of Russian 18th Century imperial architecture. The palace is a fine and rare example of wooden neoclassicism. It was completed in 1775, and the rich interiors remain unchanged since 1779. It includes a room hung with exclusive exquisite Flemish tapestries, an abundance of silk wallpaper and an impressive collection of 18th century European and Russian paintings. The palace looks onto the lake, which is surrounded by smaller pavilions: pretty Italian, Dutch and Swiss Cottages, Blank’s Hermitage and the old Orangery, where the State Ceramics Museum is located now, an extensive and absorbing collection of porcelain from the 18th century to the present day. On the other side of the lake is a large wood popular with local cyclists and joggers.

Companies Linked to Russian Ransomware Hide in Plain Sight

Cybersecurity experts tracing money paid by American businesses to Russian ransomware gangs found it led to one of Moscow’s most prestigious addresses.

MOSCOW — When cybersleuths traced the millions of dollars American companies, hospitals and city governments have paid to online extortionists in ransom money, they made a telling discovery: At least some of it passed through one of the most prestigious business addresses in Moscow.

The Biden administration has also zeroed in on the building, Federation Tower East, the tallest skyscraper in the Russian capital. The United States has targeted several companies in the tower as it seeks to penalize Russian ransomware gangs, which encrypt their victims’ digital data and then demand payments to unscramble it.

Those payments are typically made in cryptocurrencies, virtual currencies like Bitcoin, which the gangs then need to convert to standard currencies, like dollars, euros and rubles.

That this high-rise in Moscow’s financial district has emerged as an apparent hub of such money laundering has convinced many security experts that the Russian authorities tolerate ransomware operators. The targets are almost exclusively outside Russia, they point out, and in at least one case documented in a U.S. sanctions announcement, the suspect was assisting a Russian espionage agency.

“It says a lot,” said Dmitry Smilyanets, a threat intelligence expert with the Massachusetts-based cybersecurity firm Recorded Future. “Russian law enforcement usually has an answer: ‘There is no case open in Russian jurisdiction. There are no victims. How do you expect us to prosecute these honorable people?’”

Recorded Future has counted about 50 cryptocurrency exchanges in Moscow City, a financial district in the capital, that in its assessment are engaged in illicit activity. Other exchanges in the district are not suspected of accepting cryptocurrencies linked to crime.

Cybercrime is just one of many issues fueling tensions between Russia and the United States, along with the Russian military buildup near Ukraine and a recent migrant crisis on the Belarus-Polish border.

The Treasury Department has estimated that Americans have paid $1.6 billion in ransoms since 2011. One Russian ransomware strain, Ryuk, made an estimated $162 million last year encrypting the computer systems of American hospitals during the pandemic and demanding fees to release the data, according to Chainalysis, a company tracking cryptocurrency transactions.

The hospital attacks cast a spotlight on the rapidly expanding criminal industry of ransomware, which is based primarily in Russia. Criminal syndicates have become more efficient, and brazen, in what has become a conveyor-belt-like process of hacking, encrypting and then negotiating for ransom in cryptocurrencies, which can be owned anonymously.

At a summit meeting in June, President Biden pressed President Vladimir V. Putin of Russia to crack down on ransomware after a Russian gang, DarkSide, attacked a major gasoline pipeline on the East Coast, Colonial Pipeline , disrupting supplies and creating lines at gas stations.

American officials point to people like Maksim Yakubets, a skinny 34-year-old with a pompadour haircut whom the United States has identified as a kingpin of a major cybercrime operation calling itself Evil Corp. Cybersecurity analysts have linked his group to a series of ransomware attacks, including one last year targeting the National Rifle Association. A U.S. sanctions announcement accused Mr. Yakubets of also assisting Russia’s Federal Security Service, the main successor to the K.G.B.

But after the State Department announced a $5 million bounty for information leading to his arrest, Mr. Yakubets seemed only to flaunt his impunity in Russia: He was photographed driving in Moscow in a Lamborghini partially painted fluorescent yellow.

The cluster of suspected cryptocurrency exchanges in Federation Tower East, first reported last month by Bloomberg News, further illustrates how the Russian ransomware industry hides in plain sight.

The 97-floor, glass-and-steel high-rise resting on a bend in the Moscow River stands within sight of several government ministries in the financial district, including the Russian Ministry of Digital Development, Signals and Mass Communications .

Two of the Biden administration’s most forceful actions to date targeting ransomware are linked to the tower. In September, the Treasury Department imposed sanctions on a cryptocurrency exchange called Suex, which has offices on the 31st floor. It accused the company of laundering $160 million in illicit funds.

In an interview at the time, a founder of Suex, Vasily Zhabykin, denied any illegal activity.

And last month, Russian news media outlets reported that Dutch police, using a U.S. extradition warrant, had detained the owner, Denis Dubnikov, of another firm called EggChange, with an office on the 22nd floor. In a statement issued by one of his companies, Mr. Dubnikov denied any wrongdoing.

Ransomware is attractive to criminals, cybersecurity experts say, because the attacks take place mostly anonymously and online, minimizing the chances of getting caught. It has mushroomed into a sprawling, highly compartmentalized industry in Russia known to cybersecurity researchers as “ransomware as a service.”

The organizational structure mimics franchises, like McDonald’s or Hertz, that lower barriers to entry, allowing less sophisticated hackers to use established business practices to get into the business. Several high-level gangs develop software and promote fearsome-sounding brands, such as DarkSide or Maze, to intimidate businesses and other organizations that are targets. Other groups that are only loosely related hack into computer systems using the brand and franchised software.

The industry’s growth has been abetted by the rise of cryptocurrencies. That has made old-school money mules, who sometimes had to smuggle cash across borders, practically obsolete.

Laundering the cryptocurrency through exchanges is the final step, and also the most vulnerable, because criminals must exit the anonymous online world to appear at a physical location, where they trade Bitcoin for cash or deposit it in a bank.

The exchange offices are “the end of the Bitcoin and ransomware rainbow,” said Gurvais Grigg, a former F.B.I. agent who is a researcher with Chainalysis, the cryptocurrency tracking company.

The computer codes in virtual currencies allow transactions to be tracked from one user to another, even if the owners’ identities are anonymous, until the cryptocurrency reaches an exchange. There, in theory, records should link the cryptocurrency with a real person or company.

“They are really one of the key points in the whole ransomware strain,” Mr. Grigg said of the exchange offices. Ransomware gangs, he said, “want to make money. And until you cash it out, and you get it through an exchange at a cash-out point, you cannot spend it.”

It is at this point, cybersecurity experts say, that criminals should be identified and apprehended. But the Russian government has allowed the exchanges to flourish, saying that it only investigates cybercrime if Russian laws are violated. Regulations are a gray area in Russia, as elsewhere, in the nascent industry of cryptocurrency trading.

Russian cryptocurrency traders say the United States is imposing an unfair burden of due diligence on their companies, given the quickly evolving nature of regulations.

“The people who are real criminals, who create ransomware, and the people working in Moscow City are completely different people,” Sergei Mendeleyev, a founder of one trader based in Federation Tower East, Garantex, said in an interview. The Russian crypto exchanges, he said, were blamed for crimes they are unaware of.

Mr. Mendeleyev, who no longer works at the company, said American cryptocurrency tracking services provide data to non-Russian exchanges to help them avoid illicit transactions but have refused to work with Russian traders — in part because they suspect the traders might use the information to tip off criminals. That complicates the Russian companies’ efforts to root out illegal activity.

He conceded that not all Russian exchanges tried very hard. Some based in Moscow’s financial district were little more than an office, a safe full of cash and a computer, he said.

At least 15 cryptocurrency exchanges are based in Federation Tower East, according to a list of businesses in the building compiled by Yandex, a Russian mapping service.

In addition to Suex and EggChange, the companies targeted by the Biden administration, cyberresearchers and an international cryptocurrency exchange company have flagged two other building tenants that they suspect of illegal activity involving Bitcoin.

The building manager, Aeon Corp., did not respond to inquiries about the exchanges in its offices.

Like the banks and insurance companies they share space with, those firms are likely to have chosen the site for its status and its stringent building security, said Mr. Smilyanets, the researcher at Recorded Future.

“The Moscow City skyscrapers are very fancy,” he said. “They can post on Instagram with these beautiful sights, beautiful skyscrapers. It boosts their legitimacy.”

To celebrate the NBA’s 75th Anniversary Season and NBA All-Star 2022, Fortnite has teamed up with the iconic sports organization for a second crossover event, this time featuring new skins and the ability to vote for a future emote.

There’s also a set of NBA All-Star 75 Hub Quests to complete, which requires players to explore the new basketball-themed Creative hub and ‘sink baskets’ in a total of 30 hidden hoops to unlock the High Hoops Spray for free.

How to access the Fortnite NBA 75 All-Star Hub

To access the Fortnite NBA 75 All-Star Quests, you’ll need to visit the new Creative Hub. To do this, make sure you’re on the lobby screen, then press the ‘Choose’ button (eg. Square on PlayStation) to change mode.

Scroll down to the ‘By Epic’ section and select ‘Creative’. Once you launch into a match, you’ll be taken straight to the new NBA-themed Creative Hub, which takes the form of multiple basketball courts.

To sink baskets in Fortnite and complete the NBA 75 All-Star Quests, you’ll need to approach any rack of basketballs and interact with one of them to pick it up. You can only hold one basketball at a time.

Throwing a basketball is as simple as aiming and letting go – a bit like throwing a grenade – although you’ll need to wait for the right moment to land it in the hoop, as the throwing arch will constantly change.

There are 30 hoops to find around the Creative Hub, and they’re not always easy to locate, so make sure you’re checking everywhere: Look up to high places, climb the stairs, and explore all the outdoor areas.

Why are the Fortnite NBA 75 All-Star Quests not working?

Now that the NBA 75 All-Star Quests have gone live, some players are finding that the basketballs they’re throwing through the hoops are showing up in the Creative Hub, but aren’t counting towards the quests.

Unfortunately, this is an error on Epic Games’ part, and you’ll simply have to wait until they fix it. As a result, we’d recommend waiting before spending the time scoring all 30 hoops for no reason.
